Where has time gone...

I am back working now so things have been a little crazy around our house. It has definitely taken some time to all of adjusting to me being back at work and to my schedule it changes on a weekly basis.  It does at times suck but it is also nice at the same time. The kids adjusted better than I thought they would but that is due to the huge help of my friend Melissa who watches the kids while I am work.  I don't know what I do without her sometimes.

Chayla is now 3!!!!  She had an amazing party and got lots of gifts from all of our friends.  We definitely have an amazing group of friends!!!!!  We have officially overcome the potty training and I have to say it was a little easier than I thought it would be.  She still has her occasional accident at night but I am ok with that.  I knew that part was going to take a little longer. However, with us only having 4 accidents since she started sleeping panties I can't even begin to complain. She is still as smart as a button and continues to still amaze me with the things that she just randomly does.  I know cartoons and things like that teach our kids things but I do not ever remember seeing one of her shows teach her what an octagon is but when she sees one she will point at it and tell you exactly what it is.  She can recognize just about every letter in the alphabet and is now starting to learn how to write them as well.  I still can't believe in just 1.5 years she will be starting school.

Ayden is becoming more and more of a handful everyday. He is definitely my little terror of the two and take the title as problem child way to easily.  He is starting to talk and it still melts my heart when he looks at says "love you".  He is sitting at the big kid table with Chayla now and used silverware for the first time today. He got frustrated real quick today on how long it would take him to actually get food from his bowl to his mouth so he resorted back to his hand very quickly. He is reaching time for Haircut #2 already and he isn't even 18months.

Dre and I are doing great and enjoying him being home and not in out on work ups.  Unfortunately, they will be starting again soon which another deployment will be in our near future. I knew it was coming but it is coming all way to quickly. We are currently in preparation for another duty station move but look forward to it as there is a lot more things for us to do as a not only a family but for the kids. The only thing that I am not looking forward to with this move it that it is going to fall about 2 weeks before christmas again....man I wish the Navy would pick a better to move all of these families but we have to do what we have to do.

On a closing note as a whole we are doing great as a family and honestly things really couldn't get much better than are right now. I think the only thing that would make it better would be for my DOPLEDANGER to be much closer than she is right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I miss you so much Alicia!!!!!!

Life in WA

It has definitely been a while since I have been here so where to begin.  We are now living in WA and it is taking some getting used to.  It does rain up here a lot but we are slowly adjusting it.  Chayla is loving that we have several other kids next door and right down the street for her to play with. We are looking forward to what this new chapter is going to hold for us but we are definitely missing our family!

I can not explain how nice it is that we were able to spend the holidays together this year.  I know it is the life of a Navy family to spend time away from each other but I can not explain how amazing it was for us to be able to share all of Ayden's first holidays together.

Chayla never ceasing to amaze me with how smart she is.  She can communicate in full sentences now and they for the most part make complete sense. Ayden is slowly beginning to walk. He can do it with assistance but we are still working on him mastering on his own.   Chayla will 3 this year and in a few short weeks Ayden will be 1.  I can't believe how fast time has flown since both of the were born.  If all works out we will putting Chayla in the head start program this fall.  She is just to smart for us to keep her at home.

There has been so much going on lately that I don't even know where else to write right now.  Hopefully things will continue to slow down so that I keep up with this on a daily basis now.  Have a good night everyone!

T-minus 2 weeks

Our time here in San Diego is coming to end.  We hit the road in 2 days to head to AZ for Thanksgiving and get a little more time in with my family.  Then on the 28th we will be starting our 2 day drive up to WA to our new home.  I am both excited and nervous at the same time about this move.  It has been almost 8 years since I have been more than 5 hours away from my family which makes me very nervous.  At the same time I am excited to start a new chapter in our families life and to be settled again.  The kids need it more than anything.

Time here in San Diego has been very nice.  I have greatly enjoyed being able to spend time with our friends the Mercados.  Tonight we did our Christmas gift exchange with them since we will not be able to see them for Christmas. I don't think any of this kids knew what to do with themselves since they got to open presents for to them not reason. They were all so excited, Ayden even got excited and was bouncing up and down.  I am going to miss Nicole and the girls so much and hope that we will get to see them again soon.  I know this is part of the Navy life but we have come so close to them and their family that sucks to have to say goodbye to people that mean so much to us.

I hope everyone has a good night.. I am off to get some sleep so that I can finish packing up our stuff tomorrow.

No more underways

Today is a great day for us!  Dre just got home from his last underway for a long time! I can't tell you how excited I am there these are finally done.  We don't have to go long periods time away from each other and no more coming home for a day or two and then leaving again.  It will be so nice to have him home and for him to finally be able to spend time with our kids and to actually be able to experience the new things that they are doing.  I couldn't be any happier right now! Cutting this short today since he has duty tomorrow but I just had to let everyone know how excited that I am right now!

Craziness

They past week has been crazy.  Ayden hasn't been sleeping well lately so my sleep schedule is all meseds up.  He has done better the past few nights so hopefully that continues so that I can start getting back on s regular schedule myself.  I am very proud to say  that my little man is officially a crawler.  He still army crawls now and then but he hasn't for the past day or two!  It very exciting to get to see him do new things.  I can't wait for all this separation time from hubby to be over so that he can finally experience it as well since he missed out on most of it with our daughter.

Let's see.. Halloween was a blast.  We all dressed up with the kids which was a ton of fun and quite comical at times.  All the little girls were Fairies and Ayden was a skeleton. Dre was urkel.. needless to say he didn't need to do much for it to be the best costume for him.  I was a pin-up sailor girl per my hubbies request.  Surprisingly my costume turned out better than I thought I would.  Nicole was a ladybug and Cesar was Mario.  We took the kids trick or treating and they all made out like bandits.  After that we came home and ate dinner and let the kids run all the sugar out of their system.

Dre and Cesar left for an underway again on Monday.Thankfully this is the last one and we are all very very anxious for it to be over so that they can finally be home for a while. On Monday, Ayden had his 9 Month checkup and was 20 pounds and almost 30 inches long.. I can't believe how long he is! Then we went to dinner with our friend Amber since she has now left us and is back home in KC with her family.  I am going to miss her alot but I do hope that everything goes well for her.    Nicole and I have both been off and on sick so this week has been interesting.  We have spend most of it at the house with the kids trying to find the motivation to get up and do some laundry and cleaning.  Today however, was a different story.  We have been cleaning just about all day. Between just cleaning up from the kids and doing laundry.. we didn't get it all finished today so we will be finishing it tomorrow after the errands we need to run in the am.

I can't believe that we are less than a month away from being in our new home.  I am very much enjoying the time I have got to spend with my family and friends over the last 2 months but I am more than ready to finally  be settled again and get the kids back on a decent everyday schedule. We will be heading to Phoenix in 2 weeks for Thanksgiving and to spend about 10 more days with my family before we start our drive up to WA.  We were originally going to have our vehicle shipped up to WA and then fly up but plan have changed and we will now be driving.  Hopefully, everything with the drive will go well since we will have the two little ones with us.  We are just praying that the weather stays nice for us the drive up.

I am off to finish a few things before I head to bed.  I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Lazy day

Today was an extremely lazy for us. We spend the day just relaxing at home and watching movies.Nicole and her girls were gone for most of the so it was just the kids and I.  I got to take a much needed nap with my little one today while Chayla sat and watched Cars.

Ayden is starting to crawl up on his knees more and more everyday. It is exciting yet scary at the same time. I knew the day would come that they would both be mobile but I was dreading it at the same time.  They keep on my toes all the time and I can't take my eyes off Ayden for more than a second otherwise he is into everything.  I think he will be walking very soon as well.  He already pulling himself up on furniture and walking along it.  It amazed still how quickly they grow.

Chayla is getting smarter and smarter everyday.  She is getting so good with her words and letting me know exactly what she wants.  Over the past few days as well she has been really good about telling me when she is hungry without me having to ask her if she wants a snack or something to eat.  It has been so nice and I hope that she continues with it.  Now if only we could finally tackle potty training.  For the time being we are at a stand still but hopefully once we get settled in our new place in WA we will able to get her fully potty trained quickly.

Tomorrow should be a very exciting day for us so I am going to keep this one short so that I can head to bed for the night!
